In the 2018 World Championship, G2 Esports was still an up and coming team and they faced one of the favorites - RNG. In a bo5 series that went all the way. Perkz showed everyone he was a force to be respected. One of the most memorable series of EU vs CN.

Cloud 9 vs Afreeca Freecs

In the same 2018 World Championship, C9 met Afreeca Freecs. Never did anyone expect that C9 from NA stood any chance against the Korean juggernaut.

Alliance vs Kabum! Esports

In the group stage of 2014 World Championship. All that stood against Alliance - the EU superteam and Playoff stage was a Wildcard team from Brazil. No one expected that this would be a challenge, especially after Alliance demolished Korean NaJin White Shield in a perfect game a day before.

Taipei assassins vs Azubu Frost

The 2012 World Championship was about to give us our first Korean winner. But to everyone's surprise, Taipei Assassins had something else in mind. First and last time Taiwan brought home the title of League of Legends World Champions. As far as I remember, they were greeted home with open arms even from official politicians.

Albus nox luna - ROX Tigers

In the 2016 World Championship, history was made, when a Wildcard team beat a Korean team for the first time ever. They also got out of the groups, a feat which no Wildcard team ever did before. This game was the conclusion of a miraculous ANX run in 2016.
